The Richard Beal vs. Arthur Wend bout of Feb. 23, 1931 (which probably was an exhibition bout) appears to have been the first nationally televised bout. It was part of a 90-minute program sent to 10,000 TV receivers in the United States by the De Forest Radio Company's television Station W2XCD of Passaic, New Jersey, as part of the first regular daily TV programming, after a period of experimental broadcasts.
