- Saw this bout on television. Shown on YouTube several decades later. Roberto Duran had to come to Erie, Pennsylvania, to fight highly ranked contender Lou Bizzarro, who did a masterful job of running away, and holding when Duran came in close. Eventually, Duran cut off the ring. The end came when Bizzarro, his eyes bruised and battered and swollen shut, clung to Duran's legs after the final knockdown. It was a courageous show by Bizzarro, but Duran's jabs had lightning fast speed, and slowly but surely found their target and took Bizzarro apart.
