"Roberto Duran, making his first appearance in nearly five months, had to go 10 grueling rounds here Tuesday night to gain a unanimous decision over Saoul Mamby of New York. Duran said before the fight he hoped for a quick knockout, but from the opening bell, Duran had troubles handling the quick left jabs of Mamby and never got his opponent in trouble.
