"Bobby Boyd flicked his way to a split decision victory over middleweight veteran Rocky Castellani last night. Boyd did what little pressing there was in the fight, but said it was a role he didn't like. The hardest shots in the bout were delivered by Rocky. He connected solidly in the 4th, hit the target three times in the 6th and delivered a hard right and left on the bulls-eye in the 9th. But Boyd, who racked up his fourth straight decision since his knockout by Joey Giardello, came back strong each time, jabbing and countering effectively. He scored mostly with looping lefts to Castellani's head and kept flicking away with his left in trying to set up some right hand shots." -Associated Press
