Casanova's superior stamina in the closing rounds was sufficient for him to win referee George Blake's nod. The Mexican was given 5 rounds, Dado 4 and the last round was even. Dado's boxing skill gave him a commanding lead in the first six rounds but thereafter, Casanova's youth and strength became evident.
