"Rodolfo Gonzalez, 135, opened a deep cut over the eye of Pete Gonzalez, 135, San Diego, in the 2nd round, knocked his opponent down for a mandatory eight count in the 3rd and battered Pete throughout the 4th.   • Promoter Aileen Eaton announced after the bout that she would be matching world lightweight champion Mando Ramos with Rodolfo Gonzalez in a non-title match in May of 1969. However, Ramos fought Jerry Graci instead in Honolulu for a rival promoter.
  • This bout took the place of the originally scheduled Jimmy Robertson vs. Roy DeFilippas 10 rounder after DeFilippas injured his hand in training.
