Roy Askvold,Norwegian middleweight,outpointed the German Gunter Valtinke over 8 rounds. After a slow start, both gave the 1200 crowd a wild 3rd round with stylish slugging. Askvold won the 4th with uppercuts and hooks. Valtinke was down from a body punch in the 5th. Although Roy Askvold had no serious ambitions left in the game, he had at least won back his love for fighting which had somewhat disappeared when he was aiming ambitiously at the top in the mid-1960's.
