Ruben Olivares 126 lbs beat Art Hafey 125 lbs by SD in round 12 of 12

"Former bantamweight champion Ruben Olivares had to be in superb condition to overcome a knockdown and come back strong to edge Art Hafey in 12 rounds at the Forum. Olivares boxed beautifully to capture a split decision. Hafey, a short, stocky puncher, pressed the action, but couldn't catch up with the elusive Olivares till early in the 10th round. The punch that dropped Ruben was a right hand to the forehead. He was up at eight, but on weak wheels the rest of the round. Olivares then stayed at a distance in the final two rounds, escaping Hafey's right hand bombs." -Ring Magazine, June 1974 issue
