"Former world bantamweight champion Ruben Olivares of Mexico scored a 6th round knockout over Korean Chung Park in a 10 round bout at Municipal Auditorium Wednesday night. Making his first appearance since losing his crown to Chucho Castillo, Olivares had no trouble in overpowering his opponent with heavy body punishment from the 2nd round. The end came at 2:38 of the 6th round when Olivares unleashed a body attack to drop Park to his knees for the 10-count." -Associated Press
