Notes
- Sheedy down three times in the fourth round.
- It looked like the tide was turning with Cameron looking tired as the fight wore on but he dropped Sheedy with another body shot in the seventh before giving him a standing count at the end of the round after a barrage of punches left Sheedy dazed.
- Cameron landed a brilliant left hook to open the door for a string of clean shots in the eighth round. At that point, the referee had seen enough and stepped in to wave the fight off, crowning Cameron as the new champion.
