Notes
- Samuel Peter, the strong up-and-coming Nigerian heavyweight, had predicted a 2nd round knockout victory before this fight, and he lived up to it, by blasting Jeremy Williams out with a vicious left hook to the head, while Williams' hands were down. Peter took the first round, but it was pretty close stuff, and nobody expected what happened in the 2nd round. Williams simply didn't expect that big left hand to come at him, when it did. Peter has a thunderous right hand so Williams would have been focusing on defending against that, but in the end a smashing left caused his downfall. Williams went down but the referee could hardly count, before he waved it off immediately, and checked on the condition of the fallen man. Williams was totally out-cold, and Samuel Peter had yet again proved why he could be a force in the heavyweight division.
