Sandy Saddler 132 lbs lost to George Araujo 134 lbs by UD in round 10 of 10

"While a sellout crowd was still roaring over his close but clear-cut decision over Sandy Saddler, featherweight titlist, in their 10 round non-title bout at the Boston Garden last night, Araujo belittled his accomplishment. 'Saddler's not a smart guy, you can hit him with everything,' Araujo told hometown admirers. While performing before Boston's largest boxing crowd in almost six years, Saddler appeared to be leading by an eyelash going into the final round. Then Araujo cut loose with a furious two-fisted attack to the head to gain his 39th triumph in 40 pro starts and his 26th in a row. The hardest blow was struck in the finale, a right by Araujo that cut the New Yorker about the left eye. The battlers had spent much of their time holding each other with one hand and hitting with the other." -Associated Press
