"Sean O'Grady knocked out former world bantamweight champion Romeo Anaya with a right cross in the 3rd round of a scheduled 10-round bout at the Olympic Auditorium Saturday night. The 19-year old O'Grady, ranked as the No. 1 WBA featherweight contender, raised his record to 55-1 in scoring his 50th knockout. There wasn't much action before the end came. Anaya, 130, of Mexico City, won the 1st round while O'Grady, 129 1/2, of Oklahoma City, captured the 2nd round. Referee Dick Young counted out Anaya at 2:33 of the 3rd round." -Associated Press
