World Boxing Organization Light Middleweight Title (Dzinziruk's 6th defense)

Bout summary

Dzinziruk pummeled Dawson with quick, crisp jabs for 10 rounds, while mixing in some straight left hands, with Dawson showing a lot of heart but barely able to land anything on the clearly superior champion. Dzinziruk produced an extremely effective fight plan, with constant movement, angles and good defense, not letting the challenger to get on the inside or land anything meaningful, primarily by keeping him at a distance with his jab. In round 10, Dzinziruk opened up and landed repeated one-two's, hurting Dawson, who didn't throw a single punch for the last 37 seconds of the fight, before the referee stopped the bout at 2:12 and awarded the champion the TKO.
