Bout Summary
At the bell, Bowen came out and threw a big right hand which Briggs evaded. Briggs retaliated with a right hand of his own that caught Bowen flush and crumpled him in the center of the ring. He was up at the count of five and action continued. A few seconds later, Briggs connected with another right hand that immediately put Bowen out, down and flat on his back. Without beginning a count, the referee waved an end to the bout.
