Kehler: It is virtually certain that the entry of this show in the BoxRec database is incorrect. The 2-10-1928 edition of the Newark Evening News (Newark, NJ) made no mention of this bout, even though it reported the results of a card held at the Lyric Theater in Newark on 2-9-1928. There were not two cards in Newark on 2-9-1928. The Nick Abate-Skeets Dundee bout may have occurred in Newark on a date other than 2-9-1928, or it may have occurred elsewhere on 2-9-1928, or it may not have occurred at all.
