This was the inaugural show of the Wasatch Athletic Club, and "revived" boxing in Ogden. The club's promoter and owner was J. R. Downing, probably related to another Ogden promoter, Hardy Downing. Ollie Reeves's jazz orchestra provided the musical entertainment.
