Reported in 1959-8-30 El Mundo Deportivo. The card was opened with an amateur fight and a mixed bout in which amateur Cobo beat pro Melean. Although Cobo had fought as a professional on two previous cards in Barcelona, the Spanish boxing federation had ruled that Cobo had to prove his mettle in two additional amateur bouts before being given a permanent professional licence.
