Olmeda upset by Frazier in Salt Lake City

Saturday night in Salt Lake City, veteran lightweight Cesar Olmedo was upset by journeyman Johnny Frazier, 
of Atlanta, losing a unanimous six-round decision. Frazier, 3-23-4, simply outboxed Olmedo, 10-8.
In a heavyweight bout, Gary Cobia, 2-3, KO’d debuting Travis Gill in round 2. Impressive former amateur 
lightweight Ignacio Chairez, making his pro debut, put Lee Tibbitts, 0-2, away for the 10 count with a 
body shot in round one. Super lightweight Stanley Robinson, of Ogden, Utah, 3-9-1, earned a win after 
four years off, defeating journeyman Johannas Musa, 1-21, of Las Vegas over four rounds.
In other bouts, super middleweight Charles Glouer, 1-1, stopped Gabriel Blackhelm, 0-2, in the fourth 
and final round, and undefeated St. George, Utah, cruiserweight David Sanchez, 2-0, decisioned Las Vegas 
veteran Caleb Caldwell, 2-8-1, over four rounds.
The card was at The Complex arena. Promoter Eddie “Flash” Newman announced another pro card for Nov. 1.
