El Paso area boxers fare well on boxing card at Dream Arena El Paso Times staff report Posted: 09/28/2014 11:16:00 AM MDT Here are the results of Saturday nights boxing card at the Patriot Stadium/Dream Arena, which was promoted by Pound 4 Pound Promotions. El Paso's Gabriel Gutierrez won a decision against Albert Tapia in an entertaining fight at 128 pounds. The scores were 39-37 on all three scorecards. El Paso heavyweight Albert Saucedo fought to a majority draw with McAllen, Texas, fighter Alejandro Guajardo. El Paso's Derek Cranford won a decision against Eric Butler at 145 pounds. El Paso's Isaac Dominguez overcame a knockdown to decision Jeremiah Castillo of Hereford, Texas, in a four-round bout. Scores were 38-37 on two cards for Dominguez and 38-37 for Castillo in the fight which was a junior lightweight affair. El Paso's Irvin Torres beat Brian Castillo by decision in a four-round welterweight matchup. Juarez middleweight Evan Torres made his pro debut a successful one by destroying New Mexico's Ricardo Urquizo in a one-round stoppage. Fort Worth, Texas, featherweight Jesse Hernandez knocked out Chris Salinas in the second round with a body shot. And El Paso heavyweight Eriz Reza stopped opponent Eric Lunsford in the first round with a pair of knockdowns.
