This show was part of Mexico's esteemed decades-running Cinturon de Oro XXIX tournament -- aka the 19th rendition of this tournament. Video of the full show exists on YouTube and all other weeks of the tournament that took place consecutive Thursdays are reflected as part of those pro records.

The results from this card were not entered until 2024, so it was not known until then that WBC Flyweight champion Julio Cesar Martinez had in fact been stopped in his pro career as an 18-year-old junior flyweight against Fernando Monroy on this show.

His fight against Joaquin Cruz was initially regarded on BoxRec as his pro debut, but video of that fight shows Martinez's record as 1-1.

Martinez's people began to omit the loss to Fernando Monroy by the time he was fighting on Box Azteca in 2018 and 2018, acting as though he only had the one loss to Joaquin Cruz on his record.

Also notably picking up a loss on this Cinturon de Oro card was Jamin Hernandez Mercado, who before the record was corrected was listed as 16-0-1. An 18-year-old Mercado lost a UD4 to Jorge Luis Santos Guzman in this featherweight bout, and wouldn't campaign seriously as a pro until more than six years later as a super lightweight.
