  • WBC Bantamweight Title (Singwancha's third defense)

Bout Summary

Singwancha used a good jab early, and controlled the distance for the first three rounds. However, Tatsuyoshi was able to get inside, and force a war in round 4. In round 5, both fighters were trading shots until Singwancha was hurt by body shots, and Tatsuyoshi put the weary Thai fighter down with a jab. In rounds 6 and 7, Tatsuyoshi appeared to tire and Singwancha was beginning to regain control. However, during round 7, the Japanese fighter suddenly turned the tide and floored Singwancha with a body shot. Singwancha made it to his feet, but was doubled over as Tatsuyoshi unloaded punches. The referee stepped in as Singwancha was in no position to defend himself.
