Slapsy Maxie's Nightclub, located in Hollywood, California, was owned by boxer Maxie Rosenbloom.
Or at least in name only, as legal documents indicated that gangster Mickey Cohen was actually the true owner of the property. (See "Whatever Happened to Slapsy Maxie's Night Club" link below.)
Some of the 1939 comedy movie Slapsie Maxie's was filmed here.
This building originally began as a candy store in 1929. As of 2019 it is a renovated movie theater owned by Oscar-winning director Quentin Tarantino called the Beverly Cinema.
