- Haccoun is of Jewish heritage. Haccoun should be regarded as one of the best
Jewish boxers of the late 20th and early 21st Centuries. And should be considered as world class for most of his career. Came very close to being a World Champion and he was successful in winning the European (EBU) Featherweight Title from Maurizio Stecca in 1993 and in late 1993 he fought for the Featherweight World Title (IBF) version losing to Tom Johnson by TKO in the tenth rd. of twelve. In late 2000 Haccoun won the French National Super Featherweight Title from Mehedi Labdouni. Haccoun retired shortly after winning this title.
