Sugar Boy Nando (birth name: Fernando Muller) lived in Norway in the last part of 1967, giving advice and inspiration to the handful of Norwegian pros and to the amateurs who saw him spar and train at Daelenenga on Oslo's East side. He fought 6 times on Norwegian pro cards. He played piano in an Oslo restaurant, being a competent bar pianist.

The Ring, April-May 1961 issue, p. 59, reported that former Heavyweight Champion Rocky Marciano visited Curacao to see Nando. Marciano planned to manage Nando in the United States.

The website www.caribbeaninternettelevision.net is currently (May 2008) running a 33 minutes TV interview with Nando in his Berlin appartement. The interview is in Spanish and was made this April. Nando has been living in Berlin for the last 25 years. The interview can best be reached by googling "Sugar Boy Nando", and the title to look for is "Video's list". Nando tells about his encounter with Rocky Marciano who in the early 60's had plans for managing Nando. Marciano was a little shocked that Nando could have a glass of beer now and then. Nando also tells a story about a mafioso in Rome who tried to pay him off for taking a dive against Nino Benvenutti. Nando feels that the TKO-loss to Rubin Hurrican Carter in 1962 was a robbery. Charley Goldman was his trainer and cornerman for that fight.
