Sugar Ramos 126 lbs beat Mitsunori Seki 126 lbs by TKO at 1:38 in round 6 of 15

"Sugar Ramos successfully defended his world featherweight title by stopping Japanese challenger Mitsunori Seki in the 6th round of their scheduled 15 round bout Sunday night. The lanky Japanese had been cut over the left eye and knocked down for mandatory eight counts twice in the 6th before his American advisor, Teddy Bentham, yelled for the referee to stop the bout at 1:38 of the 6th. Ramos, a Cuban exile now living in Mexico, started chasing Seki from the opening bell. He caught up with him in the 5th, opening a cut over Seki's left eye. Then in the 6th he dropped Seki with a right to the jaw. Seki got up wobbly and was dropped again, almost immediately, with another whistling right hand. And that's when the Seki corner called for the end." -Associated Press
