  • Robinson's purse was $5,000.
  • Young was the New England light heavyweight champion.
  • Robinson floored Young five times in the second round. Robinson put him down for the first time with a left hook. Young got up at the count of six. A right dropped Young to one knee, but there was no count. A left hook put him down for an eight-count, then another left hook put him down for a count of seven. The fifth knockdown came from still another left hook, which caused Young to topple face forward onto the canvas. The referee stopped the fight without a count.
