Talk:Exhibition

I took out this sentence, for the time being, because I did not quite understand what it was trying to explain: "The tour had an advantage in that the champion didn't have to worry about getting cut before an upcoming defense." Was this meant to say that exhibition tours in general had an advantage over a regular tune-up bout, in that a champion could get hurt and cut in the latter? Please clarify this sentence and then feel free to reinsert it back into the page. --Ric 23:48, 12 Jan 2006 (CST)

Just meant when a champ was on an exhibition tour he usually didn't have a signed title defense in the near future in that era were as he didn't have to worry about postponing or losing a future opportunity because of a butt. I think we should just leave it out. I actually meant some exhibition bouts could be pretty brutal regardless if the rules were even or they were to the advantage of the champion Maybe the last line should be some thing like this.......Yet, despite these varying rules, head-gear, and heavy gloves or not some of these exhibition bouts could get pretty brutal.
