SAN RAFAEL The Lloyd vs Moynihan fight was a middleweight brawl that could have went either way, but Lloyd ended up getting the decision. Lloyd was the prettier of the 2 boxing wise, and actually was introduced to the standing room only capacity crowd as "pretty boy Lloyd." Moynihan had obvious sledge hammer power in both hands and rocked Lloyd several times with bad intention wrecking machine type shots. Lloyd seemed to recover from all of the onslaughts, and actually hung on for the decision. Lloyd looked pretty good in this fight, but also seemed to be glad it was over. A recent account of this fight in an east bay editorial quoted Lloyd as saying god was watching over him that night as he won the fight but remembers nothing more than the opening and ending bell.
