   Portland , Ore. March 9. 1903 -Jack O'Keefe of Chicago won the bout with Jimmy Britt here tonight on a foul in the sixth round.

    Jack O'Keefe was awarded the Lightweight Championship Title for that fight. Yet there is no mention of him on the list of world champions.  Why ?

O'Keefe has a K O victory over Honey Mellody in the second round - January 8, 1902 - Also a 14 round K O over Billy Mellody in the 14th November 24, 1905 _______________________________________ O'Keefe has a K O victory over Young Corbett II in three. May 19, 1905 _________________________________

     Please help me correct any errors in my records.I'm seeking a reason that he is not on the list of champions. I have a photo with Jack O'Keefe and his manager , Sig Hart As the Champion Light Weight of the world. I also have many news clippings on his carrear.-------
