Ralph Cronin was born ralph w croner on oct 18 1913 in what is now camas county near fairfield idaho. he boxed amatuer and pro in the navy as well as through-out the west.his career lasted just over ten years.he had easily over one hundred fights.during this time he had been a sparring partner for such fighters as, Fritzie Zivic, Henry Armstrong, Tommy Loughren, Max Baer, Bob Paster, Lou Nova, Freddie Steel,and many others. I have more newspaper articles and dairies of his as I am his son. These would verify more of his fights although I am not sure how many more. It's very exciting to find my father's record on your site. And oh yes, his manager was Tommy Cello in San Francisco. My father said, he was fantastic. Another fighter in that stable at that time just starting out was Pat Valentino. i know of two fights in 1939 in Hailey, Idaho, one July 4th with Billy Pryor L TKO two rounds, second in August with Herb Norton W KO 2 rounds.
