Talk:Robin Smith
Robin Smith 2-7-1 I am Robins brother and am writing this to leave something behind in his memory. Robin was born July 13th 1956. His birth name was Ralph Charles Tyler. He died as an inmate of the Deer Lodge Prison in Deer Lodge, Montana on May 31st of 2008 at the age of 51. Robins life was probably doomed on conception. His father, Herbert Tyler, and his mother, Catherine Harvey, were a pair. Robin also had a sister, Bernice Rae Tyler. However, Robins mother had already given birth to and abandoned 11 previous kids. In 1960 my father, Lloyd Charles Smith (also a pro fighter named Sonny Smith) married Catherine and he changed Robin and Bernices names to Robin and Cathy Smith. Catherine left us all in 1971 and our father died July 25th 1972. Robin was only 14 when our dad passed. He had already finished 2nd in the nation in the Ford Punt Pass and Kick contest, had dozens and dozens of fights, was a great student and was never really in trouble that I can remember. Upon our fathers demise we were placed in care homes seperate from each other. Cathy was the oldest and she married an AIRFORCE fellow and left the area. Robin evidently did not do well because the next I heard of him he had become very violent and had been "sent away" to learn. Robin entered the correctional system at 14 and was never able to escape it. My name is Tom Smith and you can contact me if you would like at [email protected] I will continue to write here on Robins page in an effort to leave something for his beautiful daughter Caitlin and his unborn grandchild to possibly see into who he was.
