Talk:Soldier Jones vs. Tex McEwan

We are presently investigating whether this was a Canadian Light Heavyweight title fight.

As appears from this website (http://www.harrygreb.com/soldierjones.html), which quotes an article from the Boxing News of August 1991, it has long been reported that the fight was indeed a Canadian Light Heavyweight Title Fight. However, original research by Old Andy in the Toronto Star and The Globe and Mail didn't uncover any mention in the lead up stories to the fight or in the post-fight reports that this was for a title.

It may be that the fight was subsequently recognized as a title fight.
