Talk:Tony Triem
Creating an autobiography on yourself is in really poor taste. [1]--Matt Tegen 12:51, 1 July 2007 (CDT)

Matt - I did not write an autobiography - this is from my user's page. All I did was add my name to the list of Boxing Historians. I've done a lot of good work on BoxRec and contributed good info to the Wiki. Nothing I do seems to please you, so I just consider the source.
I think that it is fine on your user page, but not for an article. You also wrote in first person too.--Matt Tegen 13:22, 1 July 2007 (CDT)
Matt - This is Tony's wife "speaking". No one knows better than me how many years Tony has put into becoming a "full-fledged" historian. His collection (as he calls it) is much more than photos. He is contacted by people from all over the United States for information. In many ways, he is like Hank Kaplan (his mentor) - collecting professional and personal information on fighters for a more complete picture. With the hard work and volumes of time he has put into this plus the public recognition he is getting, I felt he should be listed in the Boxing Historians category since he is truly a boxing historian and I was the one who added him in. I will rewrite his info to 3rd person.
