Australian Scoring System

Factoid says: "1956-Apr or May: Abandons Australian Scoring System, and converts to the Ten-point must system in use by the NBA." Was this scoring system used statewide, or only in selected jurisdictions? And when was it first adopted? --Ric 18:48, 30 September 2006 (CDT)
