Reno was able to outbox Gembey in round 1, but the fight changed when Reno was dropped by a left hook in round 2. Reno, still hurt, was down on a right hand later in the round. Reno never recovered, and Gembey landed often with clean, hard punches throughout the fight. In round 6, Reno was down to two knees after absorbing head shots. The referee stopped the fight after the second knee.
