The late Mr Ruffin, 78, died Sunday at his home, 224 Commonwealth Ave, Franklin Square, where he lived with his son. The deceased had also boxed during the 1909-1921 era, as a featherweight, under the name of Teddy Hubbs, and once fought two 10 rounders in a single night.

A funeral mass will be said today for Raymond Ruffin, father of former boxer Bobby Ruffin, at St Catherine's R C Church, Franklin Square LI. Services are at 10:15 AM, burial to follow in The Holy Rood cemetery, Westbury.
