- The Big Timer (a.k.a "The Challenger" and "The Pugilist") is a 1932 film about a young boxer who fights prejudice to work with a female manager.
- Cooky Bradford (Ben Lyon) is a witty, burger-flipping hopeful who dreams bigger than his lunch wagon. Under the guidance of gym owner Pop Baldwin’s daughter Honey (Constance Cummings), he steps into the ring and defies expectations—both as a rising boxer and romantically. But with success comes temptation: the glamorous society dame Kay Mitchell (Thelma Todd) sashays into his life, testing loyalties and ambition. The Big Timer is a brisk, character-driven tale of love, ego, and the fighter’s rise with Pre-Code charm.
