Tom Jensen beat Brian Caesar by PTS in round 4 of 4

  • Date: 1968-04-04
  • Location: K.B. Hallen, Copenhagen, Denmark
  • Referee: Erik Christensen

Danish middleweight prospect, the 20 year old Tom Jensen outpointed Puerto Rican Cesar Brian over four rounds.

Jensen with a 5-1-1 record was very busy and intense, but few of his blows had any effect on the visitor, who was making his pro debut.

The end seemed near in the 4th round when Jensen cornered Brian and let loose a volley of punches. The referee went in and broke up the fight. He then made the mistake of not announcing his decision. Brian was sure the fight was over and went to his corner. Jensen assumed it was not over and stormed after Brian " with a wild look in his eyes " according to newspaper Politiken. The referee finally saw what was in the process of happening and stopped Jensen in his tracks. Then the Puerto Rican realized his mistake and got back into the fight until the bell soon ended all confusion.
