A crowd of 14,000, convinced they have a real contender for the world heavyweight crown for the first time in years, cheered when the Welshman pounded Neusel's jaw until he sank to the floor and sat there while he was counted out.     • It was reported that after his win over Neusel, that Farr was expected to fight Max Schmeling in the summer of 1937. However, he instead received the first title shot of Joe Louis' reign in August of that year.
