The Philadelphian jabbed Schaaf into total ineffectiveness and kept him off balance with the same weapon. He used it for a barrage of hooks and as a means of opening a path for right crosses and uppercuts. Tommy won 7 of the first 8 rounds, but eased up in the last two rounds enough for Schaaf to gain an edge in both." -Associated Press
