Birthplace: Cotulla, Texas, USA
Died: 1977-11-08 (Age:78)

Tommy White made his ring debut by decisioning Buck Chambers in Laredo.
When he turned pro, newspapers spoke about him returning from the war, where he had been stationed in France with the Malmo Rifles troops.
According to his granddaughter, Cara White Butler (from an email to BoxRec in Sept. 2016), he grew up near Laredo, Texas, and learned to speak Spanish before he learned English, so it was a natural fit for him to fight in Mexico and Latin America. He was not of Mexican heritage, but some of the clippings she has refer to him as being Mexican. From some of his letters to his wife, who lived in Houston while he was gone fighting, he said that he loved Mexico City, and was very sad to leave his career and all of his friends behind when he finally went home.
Walk Miller was his manager for a short time, during the same time that he managed Tiger Flowers.
