Bout Summary
In the main event of a seven bout fight card at Turning Stone Casino in Verona, New York, an NABF heavyweight title eliminator, heavyweight veteran Tony Grano, 31, scored his biggest win to date against former heavyweight and cruiserweight contender Brian Minto with a third round knockout of Minto. It appeared Minto, 27, who lost for the third time in four bouts, was unable to transition back from cruiserweight to heavyweight. Grano, with height and reach advantage, used overhand right hands to dominate for three rounds, knocking a badly beaten Minto to the canvas in the third. Minto beat the count, but Grano's powerful right hands sent Minto to the canvas face first, knocked out. The fight was then immediately stopped by referee Charlie Fitch.
