Tony Madigan

Antony Morgan Madigan (born: February 4, 1930 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia; died: October 29, 2017) was an Australian amateur boxer. Madigan represented Australia at the three Olympic Games (1952, 1956, and 1960), winning a bronze medal at Light heavyweight in 1960. Madigan was also the 1954 ABA Light heavyweight champion. In 1959 he won the New York Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions.

It has been said that in 1958 Madigan eliminated Cassius Clay in the Chicago Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions.
