• 1938 he won the Diamond Belt in Philadelphia and the won the combined New York Daily News Golden Gloves' open championship / New York Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions in the featherweight division over John Delsanno. Saraullo upset Willie Smith of the Salem Crescent A. C. in the semi-final, the international 126-pound champion the previous year.
