- 1921-April: For the first time in 40 years, a new Kansas law permits boxing, but only between amateurs in shows sponsored by private clubs and organizations. [1]
- 1925-02-28: Kansas to legalize 10-round bouts (per newspaper wire reports)
- 1947-02-17: Governor Frank Carlson signs a bill legalizing official boxing and wrestling decisions in Kansas. The new bill amends the 1925 law that legalized boxing in Kansas by striking out the clause which stated "no decisions shall be rendered." The law was scheduled to go into place upon publication in the statute book in June. Wichita Eagle,
