Urbano Antillon 135 lbs beat Jose Leonardo Cruz 134 lbs by TKO at 3:00 in round 6 of 8

In the undercard bout to the Rubio-Cuevas main event to a fight card held in Reading, Pennsylvania, world ranked Lightweight contender Urbano Antillon, A Mexico fighter now fighting out of Maywood, California, raised his professional record to 23-0 with 16 kayos with a sixth round stoppage of veteran Jose Leonardo Cruz, now 12-3-3 with KOs.

Antillon, coming off a fight round knockout over Bobby Pacquiao this past March, saw the Cruz bout go off third of the seven bouts scheduled due to a last minute schedule charge. Antillon dominated the entire bout, winning every round except the second, using rapid fire combinations to close the right eye of Cruz, who was backed up the entire bout and unable to land for the most part. An exception was a straight right hand from Cruz that dropped Antillon near the end of round two, but Antillon got right back up and was not hurt. Referee: Steve Smoger
