Albert Yasbick was attending Temple University during the day and boxing at night. He was 2-time amateur light heavyweight boxing champion of Virginia and twice nationally ranked 3rd in 1974 and 5th in 1975 by the AAU. He graduated with a Bachelor in Business Administration degree.

Claim to fame ? He got in a real lucky punch (uppercut) and stunned and almost knocked out Leon Spinks in the third round of the quarterfinals of the AAU National Championship Boxing Tournament in Shreveport, LA in the summer of 1975. Later that summer Yasbick, in an International boxing match knocked out the Canadian Light Heavyweight Champion in the 2nd round in Baltimore, MD before turning Pro in October, 1975 in Philadelphia, PA.

After his boxing career he continued his education by earning an Associates in Electrical Engineering from the University of Louisville, a Master of Business Administration from Campbell University, a Master in Energy Management from New York Institute of Technology and presently working on an Associates in Human Resources at the College of Southern Nevada.

Presently, as of September, 2005 he resides in Las Vegas, NV.
