Former highly regarded heavyweight prospect Jo-El Scott was found guilty of murder in an Albany, NY, courtroom. Jurors deliberated just four hours before coming back with a guilty verdict. Scott was convicted of raping and killing a 59-year-old woman in an Albany park. He was 16-0 with 16 knockouts when a rape conviction sent him to prison for four years in 1996. He returned to the ring in 2000, but struggled and was stopped in two of his last four bouts. The 33-year-old Scott ends with a pro record of 20-2 with 19 KOs. He will be sentenced March 10 and faces life in prison without parole.
