Abe the Newsboy is reputed to have had over 1000 fights along with close to 400 wrestling matches in his career that began in 1905--The 1925 Everlast Record Book on page 364 has a short bio with an undated year by year report on many of this fights. This appears to be the first documented fight entered onto boxrec.
